Caitlin Burton, Paralegal, is a great asset to the Davant firm. Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Caitlin truly embraces the complexity and constant learning related to maritime law as she acts as a liaison between the firm’s clients and attorneys.
Through international experiences such as studying abroad in Honduras, Caitlin has broadened her horizons and gained a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives. Now, she brings to the Davant Law firm a broad cultural understanding, passion and drive to excel.
A love for the ocean and marine life inspired Caitlin to explore new opportunities in maritime law. Moving from New Orleans, where she had built a career from receptionist to office administrator to Fort Lauderdale in Florida provided her with the perfect opportunity to pursue her passion. When she stumbled upon an opening for a legal assistant position at Davant Law, she seized the chance and hasn’t looked back since. While her previous legal background focused on business contracting, estate management, and personal injury, Caitlin’s transition to maritime law has proven to be a natural fit.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Caitlin possesses a fascinating blend of interests and hobbies. As a food enthusiast, she delights in exploring diverse cuisines and is particularly fond of the New Orleans delicacy, Red Beans & Rice. In her downtime, she enjoys immersing herself in the captivating world of video games, with Super Mario Sunshine reigning as her all-time favorite. Additionally, Caitlin is a regular attendant at the renaissance faire, donning garb, indulging in cider, and reveling in the awe-inspiring performances that transport her to another era.
