
Christopher Fernandez
Christopher Fernandez, Associate Attorney at Davant Law specializes in intellectual property and admiralty law. He was born in Clifton, New Jersey, and holds a background in biomedical engineering and bioengineering.
Christopher earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where he focused on intellectual property. He also holds a master’s degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University.
Before joining Davant Law, Christopher worked as a patent attorney at both Quarles & Brady LLP and Akerman LLP, where he gained hands-on experience in intellectual property and patent preparation. Previously at Christopher & Weisberg, P.A. Christopher conducted patent preparation and prosecution for biomedical technologies, including utility and design applications, examiner interviews, and international trademark portfolio management.
Christopher was initially inspired to enter the legal field by his interest in helping inventors secure rights to their innovations. His decision to branch into admiralty law stemmed from a desire to deepen his litigation experience and broaden his perspective as an attorney.
Outside of work, Christopher is an avid fan of Dungeons & Dragons and enjoys the creativity, collaboration, and strategy the game requires—skills that also serve him well in legal practice.
Christopher is admitted to practice in Florida and speaks English and Spanish.
