Lee Smith
Born in Bradenton, Florida, Lee is a well-rounded civil defense litigation attorney specializing in admiralty law with an additional skill set in first and third party insurance defense. Lee attributes his interest in law to his parents (his father was a Police Officer and his mother a Trial Clerk Supervisor for Manatee County) and spending afternoons at the courthouse watching trials for fun. Specializing in maritime law was a natural evolution for Lee, having grown up enjoying the beautiful Florida beaches.
Lee’s educational background includes a JD from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where he graduated cum laude, and a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Lee has a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and trial practice, with a history of clerkships and internships in both private law firms and the public sector. He volunteers with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross.
